Memory
The idea lies in building a box with maximum usage of the space given in relation with the existing building.
Said box, composed of a Steel and glass envelope, controls the passage of light while generating a “new” identity in contrast with the existing building and urban landscape of the area. The abstract language of the lines reconfigures the volumetric relationship of the institutions and the existing building.
The institutional feature is given through the emptying of the existing building and the passage to the new building through a quadruple height offering visual permeability and institutional scale to the different visitors, desacralizing State work environments.
Function wise, the floor plans spaciousness and flexibility are highlighted for the future modification, and the area of classrooms and auditorium is strategically located in a green container displayed in the center of the block.
